About Our Tours

Intended for

Group of two or more people, in general.

*Please contact the Setagaya Public Corporation for Industrial & Tourism Promotion if you wish to participate alone.
*If there are multiple applications for the same tour on the same desired date, the tour may be conducted with other additional groups.
*We do not accept applications from for-profit groups that collect money from participants, etc.

Available Dates

Available all year round.
*Tours are not provided during the New Year holidays and summer (July 1st to September 30th).

Available time slot

10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., in general. (Tours end by 5 p.m.)

Fee

The tour guide service is free.
*Applicants are responsible for bearing their own actual costs of transportation, meals, etc. during the tour.
*Applicants are also responsible for covering the guides’ transportation expenses when they are travelling with you.
*Group accident insurance for tour participants is purchased through the Setagaya Public Corporation for Industrial & Tourism Promotion.

Application Deadline

Two weeks prior to the desired date of the tour.

How to Apply

*For the customized tour, please select the desired spots from the list below and contact us.
(Setagaya Hachiman Shrine, Gotokuji Temple, Setagaya Castle Ruins, Setagaya Magistrate Mansion, Local History Museum, Shoin Shrine)

Application Steps

• Fill out the online form on the booking screen (tour booking) to apply.
• You will receive an automated reply to your email address entered in the form when your request is submitted successfully.
• If you do not receive the reply, your request may have failed or there may be an error in the email address you entered. In that case, please fill out the form and submit your request once again.
• Once the guides have been confirmed, we will contact you by email. Your reservation is complete with our confirmation.

Cancellation

Cancellation requests are accepted by 5:00 p.m. prior to the day of the tour (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). If your cancellation request is within the valid period, please click the “Cancel Your Tour”button that you will see at the upper right corner on the booking screen.

Cancellation on the day before or on the day of the tour

In the event of bad weather or if the temperature exceeds 30 degrees or the heat stress index exceeds 28 on the Ministry of the Environment website, we may be forced to cancel the tour.
In that case, we will contact you by phone or email.

Other Information

• In general, two guides will accompany up to six participants.
• We may not be able to arrange guides due to other events or schedules.
• Please contact us if there are any changes after your application is confirmed, e.g., changes to the number of participants. In case changes are made without prior notice, we may cancel the tour for safety reasons.
• Due to the nature of the tour guide operations, we may not be able to meet your requests.
• The listed tour details are subject to change (due to facility closing days, construction, etc.).
• We may not be able to arrange guides for a group of ten or above. Please contact us as soon as possible.
• Retained personal information will not be used for any purpose other than the tour guide service.
